The Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) in the School of Earth and Environment is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated environmental social scientist with a focus on ecological and/or environmental economics to join our world-leading team of researchers. Following recent successes in student recruitment and grant income from a range of funders, SRI is seeking to build its portfolio of excellent teaching and research in ecological and/or environmental economics.
SRI is an internationally leading centre for research in the environmental social sciences. Its research groups include economics and policy for sustainability; business and organisations for sustainable societies; environment and development; energy and climate change mitigation; social and political dimensions of sustainability; and climate change adaptation, vulnerability and services.
For this position, they are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the broad field of ecological and/or environmental economics. Successful candidates will need to show a proven track record of publications and funding applications. A willingness to work in collaboration with colleagues across the institute and wider University is also essential.
