In this working paper, a review has been carried out of the current mobilisation of capital and what has been achieved with regard to the SDG targets.

 

The natural capital approach in Markandya (2020) is used to estimate the natural capital gaps that are needed to meet related SDG targets. Globally, it is estimated that, additionally, about US$774 billion per year is required to meet the selected targets for the eight natural capital-related SDGs by 2030.
